Beiersdorf has officially opened its new production center in Leipzig, Germany, with an investment of almost 300 million euros. The state-of-the-art facility is the largest investment in the company's history and will produce a wide range of cosmetic products for the European market.

At a ceremony today, Saxony Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer and Beiersdorf Chairman Stefan De Loecker inaugurated the new plant, which is located in the Leipzig-Seehausen industrial park. The facility meets the highest environmental and sustainability standards, including LEED Gold certification.

The new production center will create approximately 200 new jobs and is expected to significantly increase Beiersdorf's production capacity in Europe. The company's existing facilities in Hamburg and Waldheim will continue to operate, with the Leipzig site focusing on the production of high-volume products such as body care and sun care.
